Therapy encourages an individual to explore their feelings, history, beliefs, goals and then effect change in their personal lives. The goals of individual therapy are determined by the client and the therapist and client will work collaboratively towards those goals.
Couple’s therapy is a method of therapy whose intention is to help couples improve their relationship. It is dynamic and includes both partners in the therapeutic process. Therapy encourages the couple to work collaboratively towards a healthier and happier marriage.
Just like adults, children can benefit from therapy. Children are in a constant and fluid process of becoming who they will be in the future and therapy for children is focused on helping them develop a strong sense of self, good relationships and emotional resilience. Our child-therapists work from a systemic approach, working with the family, school and other support systems to create a safe and emotionally holding environment for the child.
Adolescence can be a challenging transitional period of becoming an adult. It can be even more difficult to navigate when divorce, grief, war, bullying, peer pressure, conflict, self-esteem and a myriad of other outside factors are added into the equation. This type of individual therapy focuses on working with the teen to explore his or her goals, emotions and desires and help make sense of the world around him/her. Our adolescent-therapists work from a systemic approach, working with the family, school and other support systems to create a safe and emotionally holding environment for the teen.
